HiPresence Newsletter Volume V Issue10 October 2019 Anointed Women Proclaim Subtlety As Believers of the 21st century, it is very important that we discern by The Spirit of God the subtleties currently taking place in the society in which we live. The subtleties I refer to have much to do with an antichrist spirit that has found its way into modern-day Christendom. The antichrist spirit is that which is against Christ. Words, deeds, mindsets, thought processes, lifestyle, world-view and the likes. It is that which will not and cannot confess that Jesus (The Christ) is Lord, all to the glory of God. It is also that within us that refuses to bow to the Lordship of Jesus. An antichrist spirit that has been disguised in the world system, not outrightly obvious, but rearing its head eventually and in subtle ways; positioned against Christian doctrine, principles and guidelines, termed as hate speech. Not being able to literally verbalize, admit, confess that Jesus, The Word of God made Flesh or as the literal divine embodiment of The Word of God revealed in human form; has come to earth in order to redeem from, bring freedom to and produce victory in whatever can and does keep us from bowing to His Lordship in every area is antichrist (against). Without the “reborn” experience, we cannot truly be for Jesus, as nice as we may be, we are anti (against) Christ. [John 3: 1-8]. People have said they are believers and they have Jesus but the real question is are you a believing believer and Jesus, has you? Remember back when we first became born-again (spiritually), everything was about prayer, asking The Lord what He wanted us to do and where he wanted us to go and what He wanted us to say. Some even asked what they should wear the next day. (I am making a point here). We must stick with Jesus. Everything else we do and think is subject to change and is temporal. This life may be enticing and affords us certain pleasures and comfort but you have to know without a personal relationship with The Son, there is no real future. The Bible tells us in 1 John 4: 2-4: “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [KJV]
We can believe the Scripture reference above is only referring to someone in the world who is against Christ because he or she does not have a personal relationship with God. We may think if they are not with us, they are against us. While true, I submit to you that the antichrist spirit can take root in worldly mindsets and thought-processes not submitted to the Lordship of Jesus. In essence becoming antichrist by not having faith in the reality of what the God-Man came to do for us by way of God The Father’s Resurrection power made available and working in us without which, will cause a hindrance to who we are destined to be. If we do not yield and rely on the Greater One in us Who causes us to be victorious, living out our destinies, we can become lukewarm and ineffective in our faith. We can become better than we currently are, yet choose not to be. Those areas we leave lacking become antichrist in a sense. Imperfect, not allowing those imperfections to be covered by the Blood of Jesus, and completely cleansed so that we are able to rightly perceive the Mind and Heart of God as it relates to His written Word and His perfect will for us individually; so that we are a friend of God and not an enemy against Him. Some prefer being a friend to the world which is an automatic indictment for an enemy of God. If our mindsets are not renewed with The Word of God, we can easily become enemies of God and not even know it. Every believer has an assignment and destiny. There is no need for each of us to be exactly alike. Depending on your assignment, determines your temperament; how you think, what your passions are, what you hate and what you love. Someone ordained to rescue drug addicts may not have the same temperament as someone who is assigned to watch over the infants. We are who God created us to be, but not cookie-cutter extensions of anyone other than Jesus Himself; our individual personalities intertwined with His Holy Spirit and Power ruling and reigning within us.
The question I ask here, are you still following the path designed for you or have you backed away and started doing again, those old things you use to? Any time you stop what you use to do for God when you were totally on fire for Him, toward the Kingdom of God and His people, you have forsaken your path. Unless, being directed and lead by The Spirit of God to go in another direction, you have left your course and opened yourself up to that subtle antichrist spirit. It seems harmless now, but will cost you eternity later. It’s important that each of us be true to who we are in God and what He has ordained for us individually (as well as collectively). In any case, each of us knows if we are backslidden or not. There are some, who are at least holding on for dear life; which would seem to be better than nothing. The problem with this is Jesus said He would rather we be hot or cold. But lukewarm, He cannot stomach. You decide.
